چکیده

Wireless sensor networks (WSN) are of thousands nodes installed in a defined physical environment to sense and monitor its state condition. The viability such network is directly dependent limited by the power batteries supplying these networks, which represents disadvantage network. To improve extend life WSNs, scientists around world regularly develop various routing protocols that minimize optimize energy consumption nodes. This article, introduces new heterogeneous-aware protocol well known as Extended Z-SEP Routing Protocol with Hierarchical Clustering Approach for Heterogeneous Sensor Network or EZ-SEP, where connection base station (BS) done via hybrid method, i.e., certain amount communicate directly, while remaining ones form cluster transfer data. Parameters field unknown, partitioned into zones depending on node energy. We reviewed concerning election head (CH) communication BS presented novel extended mechanism selection CH based residual In addition, EZ-SEP weighted up using estimation schemes repositioning, altering density, variable comparison previous parent algorithm. was executed compared Z-SEP, SEP, LEACH. proposed algorithm performed MATLAB R2016b simulator. Simulation results show our version performs better than stability period due an increase number active 48%, efficiency high packet delivery coefficient 16% optimizes average 34.

Z-SEP: Zonal-Stable Election Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are comprised of thousands of sensor nodes, with restricted energy, that cooperate to accomplish a sensing task. Various routing Protocols are designed for transmission in WSNs. In this paper, we proposed a hybrid routing protocol: Zonal-Stable Election Protocol (Z-SEP) for heterogeneous WSNs. In this protocol, some nodes transmit data directly to base station wh...

Geographic and Clustering Routing for Energy Saving in Wireless Sensor Network with Pair of Node Groups

Recently, wireless sensor network (WSN) is the popular scope of research. It uses too many applications such as military and non-military. WSN is a base of the Internet of Things (IoT), pervasive computing. It consists of many nodes which are deployed in a specific filed for sense and forward data to the destination node. Routing in WSN is a very important issue because of the limitation of the...

SEP: A Stable Election Protocol for clustered heterogeneous wireless sensor networks

We study the impact of heterogeneity of nodes, in terms of their energy, in wireless sensor networks that are hierarchically clustered. In these networks some of the nodes become cluster heads, aggregate the data of their cluster members and transmit it to the sink. We assume that a percentage of the population of sensor nodes is equipped with additional energy resources—this is a source of het...
